4TheRiders Open rackday!!!WHOOOO!!
September 2nd, 2009 - Thunderhill

After a successful stab at running a trackday on August 4th, we're doing it again! Having been the first time running a trackday, we definately learned some things and we're changing it up a little bit.

1) No first timers this go around. You must have at least ONE successful trackday (at any track) under your belt to be eligible to ride. No exceptions.

2) NO CRASHES ALLOWED. Zoom Zoom pioneered it, and it's for a good reason... 70% of the people who fall down and are allowed to ride again WILL FALL DOWN AGAIN. I don't want to see someone hurt themselves or worse---hurt someone else. There's no reason to be falling down in the first place!

The only exceptions I can think of is if a meteor falls from the sky and you have to set 'er down for safety as to not be vaporized...then I'll consider letting you back out on the track...Unless, of course, your helmet has sustained ANY damage, then you're done.

3) While it will be an OPEN format, there will be 2 "groups," very loosely seperated... at :00 on the hour, the fast guys will run. at :30 on the hour, the not as fast guys will run. You WILL be allowed to ride in either group, back to back, non stop, all day if you want, we are not going to limit you to only riding 30 minute sessions...There will be no stoppages to switch groups either. Mind your own watches to get an idea as to who is on the track at any given time.

I'm only doing the loose 2 group format so you know what to expect. If you're not very fast, but want to run with the big dogs, by all means, go for it! Just expect to be passed at high velocities. If you're a fast guy and wanna roll around with the slower guys, by all means, have fun! Just be a lil more courtious when making passes and don't lean on the guy you're passing. :)

4) Price is a lil more to offset the bajillion dollars in fees I got for taking credit cards. However, rather than worry about whether you paid for pics or not, price INCLUDES photos! Think of it as getting a CD of your photos for half-price. :) Or think of the fact that you get 3 trackdays worth of riding time for only $220.

In closing: Thanks everyone who showed up at the first ever 4theriders trackday in conjuntion with Adrenaline Trackdays and made it all possible. And possible to do a 2nd! :D Look forward to seeing you guys out there again on Sept 2nd!
